On May 1st of 2019, 63-year-old Barry Harold Weed of Frederick, Maryland, drew his last breath at his residence.
On October 8, 1955, Barry transpired into this world gracefully in Washington D.C., welcomed by the late Harold and Betty (nee McCardle) Weed. For over four decades, Barry was a devoted and loving husband to Sharon (nee Lynch) Weed. They undeniably shared a remarkable bond of love and union like nothing else in this universe.
Throughout Barry’s career, he had a knack for the trade of construction. Therefore, it came as no surprise when he chose to join forces with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 37.
Barry took great pleasure in his family gatherings and especially enjoyed his time with his beloved grandchildren. On top of that, he relished the chance to partake in activities like fishing, crabbing, and tending to his garden.
Left to cherish Barry’s memory are his beloved spouse of many years, Sharon; his children, Bradley with Jennifer and Crystal with Gregory; his doted-upon grandkids, Cameron, Colin and Chase Weed and Kylie and Chase Johnson; his vibrant siblings Richard and Debbie, and Nancy and Bill; as well as his adoring nieces and nephews.
In passing, Barry was preceded by his parents.
On Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., a ceremony will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick, MD to remember and celebrate the life of the departed. At 1621 Opossumtown Pike, mourners will gather to honor before laying them to rest at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
This coming Friday, May 10, the family will welcome friends warmly into their embrace from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family of Barry has asked that in lieu of floral tributes, contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society at 1393 Piccard Drive, Suite G-40, Rockville, MD 20850. Such a gesture would serve as a lasting legacy and honor his memory in a meaningful way.
